Hiking the Finger Lakes Trails: Trees and Gorges in Wine Country

Explore the Finger Lakes Trail system that runs through wine country. Daily hikes on moderate to hilly terrain of up to 7 miles at a 2.5 mile per hour pace. Spectacular geologic wonders – gorges and waterfalls in Letchworth, Watkins Glen and Treman State Parks – sites built by the CCC in the ‘30s.  Hike near Keuka Lake in vineyards and forest. Special features include wine tastings, free time and tickets for Corning museums, forester/naturalist lecture and guided hikes.  Discover upstate New York’s white pine, hemlock and maple forests, and the educational perspective of environmentalists and Iroquois specialists.
