Watson Homestead Conference and Retreat Center began as the dream of Thomas Watson Sr., founder of IBM, when he gave his boyhood family homestead to the Methodist Church. His desire was that it would serve as a place of recreation and retreat for all religious, social services, educational, and charitable organizations. That was over five decades ago. Since that humble beginning, Watson Homestead has opened its doors to many thousands of organizations, as well as served the needs of regional civic groups and Road Scholar program weeks.
