Watson Homestead 15th Annual Cabin Fever Quilting Retreat!

Watson Homestead 15th Annual Cabin Fever

Celebrate Watson Homestead’s 15th Annual Cabin Fever Quilting Retreat   February 14-16, 2020.

Course Description:

Trelliswork:  This year’s weekend project focuses on precision machine piecing combined with a stunning hand appliqued sawtooth border.   Not to be confused with prairie points, sawtoothing is a technique that first appeared on quilts in the mid-1850s and continues to add a touch of elegance to today’s creations.  Much simpler than it looks, sawtoothing is a clever technique that works up very quickly and will improve your hand applique skills in the process.

The patchwork portion of Trelliswork focuses on precision piecing techniques that create the illusion of a multilayered design.  Created as a wall hanging, the size of this piece allows you to focus on skills that translate to other areas of your quilt making journey without the pressure of creating something large that has the danger of never getting finished.

Proficiency:  Good for all levels of quilt making experience.

Date/Time:  This class starts Friday evening, & continues to Sunday at noon.

Friday evening - Saturday afternoon:  February 14 - February 15, 2020 Workshop
