More Info:

The City of Corning is both an industrial icon and an artistic haven. Come downtown during the community’s major holiday celebration and learn about the fascinating history of glass manufacture and how a company town, over a period of 150 years, can produce high art and community pride through historic preservation, the establishment of art museums, and the patronage of artists' working studios. In addition to field trips to the Rockwell Museum of Western Art and the Corning Museum of Glass, we will learn how the "Main Street" downtown revitalization program began, revel at 100 + years of Steuben Glass, create blown and fused glass ornaments and decorate a traditional gingerbread house. Enjoy a hay ride, holiday storytelling and old-fashioned Christmas recipes. ($490 double occupancy / +$75 single occupancy / $394 commuter) Road Scholar course #12122.
